Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets 26.42.0 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Bugs addressed across the app
The update notes say the team has worked on bugs. That points to general fixes intended to make the app behave more reliably while you search and plan.
- 02Work to prevent crashes
The notes also highlight crash prevention. Fewer interruptions can make it easier to browse experiences, review travel plans and reach booking information when you need it.
- 03A refreshed app design
Design improvements are another focus in the notes. The app is intended to make searching for activities easier, whether you are planning ahead or looking for something last-minute.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets page.

Tips
- Save tickets for offline access
After booking, keep your ticket and booking information available on your mobile device for times when you may not have an internet connection. The app description says tickets can be accessed offline. Check your booking details before leaving a connection, so you know what information is stored and can find it when you arrive.
- Browse by activity interest
Use the app to explore experiences across categories such as culture, food, adventure and nature. This can help narrow a search when you have a destination but have not settled on an activity. GetYourGuide describes options ranging from guided tours and day trips to tickets for major attractions and museums.
- Review cancellation terms before booking
Check the conditions for a specific experience before you pay. GetYourGuide says free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before an activity for most bookings, so the exact terms matter when plans may change. The app also describes reserve-now, pay-later options for saving a place on popular experiences.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of GetYourGuide changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with GetYourGuide. The app’s Google Play page is the authority for its official listing and update information. Check that page for the current release notes and availability, and use GetYourGuide’s in-app or listed help route for questions about bookings or account support.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when the update is not available to your account or device yet, including during a staged rollout. Check the app’s Play page again later. If the store already offers the current version, you can install it there; if it shows Open, you can continue using the installed app.
Can I use my tickets without an internet connection?
The app description says booking information and tickets can be accessed offline on your mobile device. Open the relevant booking while connected before you travel, and confirm the ticket is available in the app. Keep in mind that browsing and booking new experiences may require an internet connection.
