Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in Call Blocker - Block Numbers 3.2.0.1830 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Fixes and stability work
This build's notes cover general maintenance. The app is designed to help identify unwanted callers and give you a direct way to choose numbers for blocking.
- 02Worth using: caller identification
Call Blocker provides real-time caller identification for unknown callers. When a call is identified as unwanted, you can decide in the app whether to block its number.
- 03Worth using: a personal blacklist
Add unwanted numbers to your blacklist, or include numbers that begin with specific digits. This gives you a way to manage which callers you want blocked.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's Call Blocker - Block Numbers page.

Tips
- Review an unknown caller
When an unfamiliar number calls, use Call Blocker’s caller-identification feature to see whether it is identified as unwanted. If you decide the number should be blocked, choose that action in the app after the call. The description says blocking is your decision, so take a moment to check the number before adding it to your list.
- Add numbers to your blacklist
Use the blacklist to add a specific number you do not want calling again. The app description also says you can add numbers that start with particular digits, which may help when unwanted calls share a prefix. Review each entry as you add it, so the list matches the callers you intend to block.
- Keep blocking under your control
Call Blocker says it does not block numbers automatically; you choose which ones to block. Use that control to consider each identified caller before taking action. If you want to check or manage entries, look in the app for its blacklist or block-list area, and use the app’s Settings for any preferences you want to review.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of Call Blocker changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with Spam Call Blocker Apps. The app’s Google Play page is the authority for its current listing and update information. Check that page for the latest details before installing, and use the developer name to confirm you are viewing the intended app.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when the app is already current for your account, or when an update has not reached your account yet as part of a staged rollout. You can check the app’s Play page again later. The availability of an update can vary, so the button shown there is the practical guide.
Does Call Blocker block every unknown number automatically?
No. The app description says Call Blocker does not block a number automatically and that you choose whom to block. It describes real-time caller identification and a blacklist for specific numbers or numbers beginning with selected digits. Review the caller and your list, then decide whether blocking is appropriate.
