AlfredCamera just got an update. Did yours?
Issue 1 · Oct 13–19, 2026. This build focuses on personalized motion detection that learns what is normal in view, plus a baby-cry alert that rings your phone like a call. It is worth installing now for more tailored alerts and a more noticeable way to hear a baby; the details are on the next screen.

Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in AlfredCamera Home Security app 2026.21.0 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Teach detection what is normal
Personalized Detection lets you train the camera’s AI using your own footage, helping it learn the usual activity around its view and reduce alerts from common visual distractions.
- 02Hear baby cries like a call
Baby Cry Detection makes your phone ring like a real call when the camera hears your baby cry, so the alert can stand out while you step away.
- 03Use AlfredCamera for remote monitoring
AlfredCamera can turn two phones into a camera-and-viewer setup, letting you check a live stream remotely and use alerts for home, baby, or pet monitoring.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's AlfredCamera Home Security app page.

Tips
- Train detection for the camera view
If your camera often sees shifting shadows, branches, or headlights, use Personalized Detection with footage from that camera so its AI can learn the usual scene. The notes describe this as a way to reduce false alerts. Choose footage that reflects the ordinary activity around the camera, then see whether alerts become more useful for that location.
- Keep the viewer within reach
Use the viewer phone to check AlfredCamera’s live stream when you are away from the camera device. The description says the app works over WiFi, 3G, and LTE, so remote viewing depends on a working connection. A live view can help you check what is happening rather than relying only on an alert.
- Pair two phones with a QR code
Set one phone up as the camera and use your current phone as the viewer, then follow the app’s QR-code pairing process. The description says Android and iOS devices can work together. Before placing the camera phone, choose a view that covers the area you want to monitor and make sure it can stay connected.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of AlfredCamera Home Security app changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with Alfred Systems Inc. Google Play’s app page is the authority for the official listing and its change information. Use that page if you want to confirm what is currently shown for AlfredCamera or check whether the update is offered to your device.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when the update is not yet offered to your account or device, including during a staged rollout. You can check the app’s Play page again later. If an Update option appears, use Google Play to install it; if Open remains, you can continue using the version already on your phone.
How does AlfredCamera use two phones?
The app’s description explains a camera-and-viewer setup: install AlfredCamera on two devices, make one the camera and the other the viewer, then pair them by scanning a QR code. It also says Android and iOS devices can work together. A network connection is needed for remote monitoring, which the description says works over WiFi, 3G, and LTE.
