These are the three changes in UpFoto - AI Photo Enhancer 1.4.3 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Fixes and stability work
The notes cover fixes and stability work. That is the focus of this build, with no specific user-facing change described.
- 02Worth using: clarify blurry pictures
UpFoto offers a tool to unblur photos and make pictures clearer. It is useful for soft or pixelated images you want to revisit.
- 03Worth using: restore old photos
UpFoto can repair damaged and scratched photos, helping you refresh older family pictures and preserve a clearer version of a memory.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's UpFoto - AI Photo Enhancer page.

Tips
- Start with a blurry picture
Choose a photo that looks soft or pixelated and use UpFoto’s unblur or clear-picture tool. Compare the result with the original before keeping it, especially when fine details matter. The app describes one-tap enhancement, so start with the picture itself and check whether the change suits the memory you want to preserve.
- Give scratched prints a try
Select an old photo with visible damage and use the restoration tool to improve its appearance. Keep the original image available so you can compare the repaired version and decide which one to save or share. UpFoto presents restoration as a way to refresh old family pictures, rather than as a replacement for preserving the original.
- Enhance portraits with care
For a selfie or group photo, try the portrait-detail option, which the app says can recognize faces and enhance facial details with one tap. Review the finished image before sharing it. A close comparison with the original helps you decide whether the facial detail and skin texture still look the way you want.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of UpFoto changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with AI Photo Team, the developer of UpFoto. The app’s Google Play page is the authority for its official listing and current release information. Check that page for the details shown for your install, including whether Google Play offers the build.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when the build is not yet offered to your account or device; releases can arrive through a staged rollout. Check the app’s Play page again later. If the page continues to show Open, you can still launch UpFoto and use the version currently installed.
Can UpFoto improve an old family photo?
UpFoto’s description says it can restore old photos and repair damaged or scratched images. Choose the picture you want to work on and review the result against the original before keeping it. The app also lists tools for deblurring and improving resolution, which may be useful for older or less clear pictures.
