Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in Easy Voice Recorder that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Open recordings in a full-screen player
The new full-screen player is accessible from the mini player, giving you a larger playback view when listening to a class, meeting or personal recording.
- 02Set your rewind and fast-forward intervals
You can customise how far playback moves when you rewind or fast-forward, making it easier to revisit a moment or skip ahead through a recording.
- 03Pro editing and microphone improvements
Pro users regain background playback in the Edit screen, and the build adds support for BLE microphones on supported devices.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's Easy Voice Recorder page.

Tips
- Use playback speed for study
For a class or lecture, open a saved recording and adjust playback speed to a comfortable pace. The app description says you can speed up or slow down audio, which can help you revisit material efficiently. Pair that with the new custom rewind and fast-forward intervals when you need to return to a particular passage.
- Choose a recording format
Consider what matters most before starting a long recording: the app offers high-quality PCM and MP4, plus AMR as a space-saving option. Pro adds MP3, FLAC and AAC on supported devices. Look in the app's recording settings for format choices, and select one that fits your intended use and available storage.
- Start recordings from the home screen
If you often capture a quick idea or meeting, set up a widget or shortcut to start a recording from the home screen. Easy Voice Recorder describes both options, as well as background recording. Check your launcher’s widget and shortcut menus for the app, then place the option you use most within easy reach.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of Easy Voice Recorder changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with Digipom. Google Play's page for Easy Voice Recorder is the authority for the app's official listing and change information. You can compare this editorial summary with the Play page before installing, especially if you want to confirm which version is offered for your device.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
An Open button can appear when Google Play has not yet offered an update to your account or device. App updates can be made available in stages, so check the Play page again later. If you see Update, you can install it there; if you see Open, you can continue using the version currently installed.
Can Easy Voice Recorder record phone calls?
The app description says Easy Voice Recorder is not a call recorder and cannot record phone calls on most phones. It is intended for capturing other audio, including classes, meetings, personal notes and music. For a meeting or lecture, start a recording in the app and follow any applicable rules for recording people.
