Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in Niagara Launcher ‧ Home Screen 1.16.32 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Build a theme in Theme Studio
Theme Studio lets you customize wallpapers, icons, clock styles and text, bringing several home-screen choices together as parts of one theme.
- 02Preview and save different looks
A live preview shows your theme as you work, and you can save multiple setups to keep different home-screen arrangements available.
- 03Share themes with others
You can share themes with friends or the community, as well as create your own, making Theme Studio a place to exchange home-screen designs.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's Niagara Launcher ‧ Home Screen page.

Tips
- Build a look around wallpaper
In Theme Studio, start with a wallpaper you want to see often, then adjust icons, clock style and text around it. Use the live preview to judge the elements as a group rather than deciding on each in isolation. Save the finished setup so you can keep it alongside other looks.
- Keep more than one setup
Save multiple theme setups when you want different home-screen appearances without having to recreate each combination. A quieter arrangement can keep attention on the essentials, while another can make more use of color or custom icons. The live preview helps you compare the overall result before choosing which setup to use.
- Use the one-hand app list
Niagara is designed around one-handed access, so try its Wave Alphabet to move through your apps without filling the home screen with rows of icons. Keeping frequently used apps easy to reach can make a minimalist layout practical as well as uncluttered. Pair that approach with a theme that keeps labels and visual details clear.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of Niagara Launcher changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with Mellowdrop Studio. The app's Google Play page is the authority for the official listing and change information. Here, the update is described in practical terms so you can see what Theme Studio offers and decide whether its theme-making tools fit how you use your home screen.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when the latest build is already installed, or while an update is being made available through a staged rollout. Check the app's Google Play page again later if you expected an update but do not see an install option. The Play listing is the place to confirm what is currently offered to your account.
Can I share a theme I make?
Yes. Theme Studio supports sharing themes with friends or the community. You can customize wallpapers, icons, clock styles and text, see the combination in a live preview, and save multiple setups. Sharing is intended for the completed theme look, so choose the setup you want to pass along before using the sharing option.
