- Try a private contact conversation
Use Zello to talk privately with a contact rather than treating every conversation as a public broadcast. The app lists contact availability and text status, which can help you decide when to call. Keep your phone connected over Wi-Fi or mobile data, then use the talk controls for a real-time voice exchange.
- Choose a public channel thoughtfully
Public channels let people join conversations around shared topics, and Zello’s description says channels can support up to 6000 users. Look through the available channels and choose one that suits the conversation you want. Remember that a public channel is different from a private contact exchange, so choose accordingly.
- Review voice history after talking
Zello includes voice history, and this build improves the history screen. After a conversation, open the history area to review recent voice activity and orient yourself before returning to a contact or channel. If you use an accessory, the improved talk screen can also be a useful place to check your usual controls.
