What’s in the latest IPTV build?
Issue 1 · Oct 13–19, 2026. This build’s notes cover bug fixes, while IPTV’s main purpose is organizing and playing channels from a playlist you provide. It’s worth installing now for playlist playback and programme-guide support; the practical details are on the next screen.

Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in IPTV that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Bug fixes and stability work
The build notes cover bug fixes. IPTV is intended for watching streams from a playlist you supply, so open your existing list after installing and continue from there.
- 02Use playlists you already have
IPTV supports M3U and XSPF playlists, giving you a way to organize compatible channel links in the player. Playlist history can also help you return to lists you have used.
- 03Browse channels with programme guides
You can view channels in grid, list or tile layouts. EPG support in XMLTV and JTV formats can show programme-guide information when your playlist setup provides it.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's IPTV page.

Tips
- Start with your playlist
Open IPTV and select a playlist in M3U or XSPF format that you already use. The app does not include channels, so make sure the list contains channels from a provider or other source you can access. Once loaded, use the channel entries to browse and start playback.
- Choose a channel layout
Try the grid, list and tile views to find a layout that makes your channels easiest to browse. A list can be convenient when you want to scan names, while a grid or tile view gives the channel entries a more visual arrangement. Pick whichever suits your playlist.
- Check guide and player options
If your playlist setup includes programme information, use IPTV’s EPG support for XMLTV or JTV formats to see guide details. The app also supports internal and external video players, so choose the playback option that works with your viewing setup. Guide information depends on compatible data being available.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. GoCompareNow is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of IPTV changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with Alexander Sofronov. The app’s Google Play page is the authority for its listing and release information. Google Play lists bug fixes for this build; check the app page for the current details before installing.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play may show Open when the latest build is already installed, or when an update has not reached your account yet. Availability can vary during a staged rollout. Check the IPTV page again later if you expected an update, and use Google Play as the source for what is available to you.
Does IPTV come with channels included?
No. IPTV is a player and does not contain built-in channels. You need a playlist with channels from an Internet service provider or another source. The app supports M3U and XSPF playlists; access to any streams depends on the playlist and the service or source you use.
